Queen of Pentacles

General

The Queen of Pentacles reminds me of a mother, someone who is nurturing, loving and offers stability and security. This can also be someone who is wealthy and someone who likes to live luxuriously. And this can be seen in the traditional depiction of the Queen of Pentacles, the Queen sits on a decorated throne holding her pentacle. She is surrounded by beautiful scenic greenery and this symbolises the abundance that is around her. The Queen of Pentacles looks like she is wearing expensive clothes and looks like she has attained a level of success and prosperity.  

Upright

In the upright position, the Queen of Pentacles is someone who is down-to-earth and someone who is a family person. The Queen of Pentacles is someone who ensures that her house is in order and the people that she loves are cared for. In love, this could represent stability and love in relationships. This card could also represent a domestic, loving and nurturing partner who would make sure to take care of their partner’s needs. This could also mean that the relationship is a source of comfort and safety for the querent. In career and finances, this card represents an individual who has attained financial security and is someone who is responsible when dealing with their finances.

Reversed

In the reversed position, the Queen of Pentacles may be someone who is a little materialistic and someone who cares a lot more about earthly possessions than anything else, and has an unhealthy attachment to these material things (i.e. finances, sex and status). In love, this person may be shallow and materialistic, perhaps only looking for status and wealth in their partner as opposed to love and happiness. There is a chance that this person is a selfish partner. And one or both partners might be in a relationship for the wrong reasons. In career and finances, this card represents unreliability. The person that the Queen of Pentacles represents may have a tendency to hoard and/or is miserly.
