Three of Pentacles

General

The Three of Pentacles is about teamwork and learning. This is a time where one is learning skills and talents, and working with others to learn these skills and talents. This is a card about working together with Spirit to manifest one’s goals and dreams. In traditional tarot, the Three of Pentacles depicts a young person working in a cathedral with several others. He is listening and learning from the others as he works together with them to build the cathedral.

Upright

In the upright position, this card represents working together towards a common goal, and learning. This card can sometimes talk about business ventures, working with others to study or for projects. In love, this could mean that both partners work very well as a team. This could also mean that the connection would strengthen if both partners bond over shared projects, work or hobbies. In career and finances, this card talks about working as a team and collaboration with others for projects and ventures. This is also about learning new skills whether through discussing with others or learning together with others. This card can also talk about getting good advice and help for one’s finances.

Reversed

In the reversed position, the Three of Pentacles indicates a lack of team work and cohesion because one or more of the team members are pushing their own agenda. The team may be falling apart because of selfishness amongst the group. In love, this may indicate a third party situation. This card also indicates conflict and an inability to function in a healthy relationship together. In career and finances, this card talks about office politics and conflict in the workplace. But it talks about conflict within the team and nothing learned.
